Welcome to the delights of Eastern Euorpean cooking.

 

Not to be confused with the state in the USA, we are talking about the country of Georgia in the Caucasus region of Eurasia

 

We will prepare 3 plant based dishes which can be easily replicated at home. They will give an introduction to meat free versions of Georgian cooking.

 

MENU:

 

  1. Lobio a traditional Georgian dish of various kinds of prepared beans, containing coriander, walnuts, garlic and onion.

  2. Pkhali another Georgian dish of chopped and minced vegetables, made of cabbage, eggplant, spinach, beans, beets and combined with ground walnuts, vinegar, onions, garlic, and herbs. Pkhali is also called mkhali. The common ingredient of all variations of pkhali is pureed walnut sauce.

  3. Eggplant rolls served with pomegranite seeds 

 

This class will be hands-on , we are going to cook everything from scratch, with fresh local produce .

After the class please stay to enjoy your food or take it home with you to eat there. You will also receive a set of the recipes so you will be able to replicate them and treat your family and friends.
